Christeyns turnover tops £30m

In the year to 31 December 2017, Christeyns UK has achieved revenue of £30m, up more than 6 per cent from £28.3m in the year before.

Profit before tax at the company reached £4.5m, up 31 per cent from £3.5 in 2015.

Nick Garthwaite, managing director of Christeyns, has also taken on the role of president of Bradford Chamber of Commerce from Andy Caton, who held the post for the last two years during which Garthwaite served as vice-president.

About the company's results, Garthwaite said: "2016 was an excellent year for the company, exceeding our expectations , this really comes about from our continued and unswerving focus on our people and processes. 

"Additionally new highly innovative products and supporting equipment, we help our customers apply our technology to ensure that they optimise their own processes."

The strategic report said: "The continued excellent reputation of Christeyns is the key to the success of the business, the accreditations of course help us to manage these risks but it is our people that make it happen.

"During 2016 we continued to work towards the company's vision for the future, following our core values and strategic quality goals.

"We continue to promote a “customer ?rst culture" with strong emphasis on customer retention and growth."

In January this year Christeyns become the sole owner of Warrington-based Klenzan after acquiring the 50 per cent of the food hygiene specialist it did not already own from outgoing managing director and founder John Bell.

Klenzan supplies sectors including the food, brewing and beverage, dairy and pharmaceutical industries and has been part-owned by Christeyns UK since 2012.
